- The word "heaven" (Hebrew: shamayim) in the Old Testament means "high, lofty". In the New Testament Greek (ouranos), it means "heaven", which comes from a root word meaning "to cover" or "to surround". In short, it means "above".
- "Heaven" essentially means "a place with God" where "everything good originates and evil is separated from". Salvation itself is God's continued creation and anticipation of the new heaven and earth.
- Heaven will only fully come down at the end of days. Before that, it will be accompanied by God's judgment on all evil in the universe and the renewal of the entire universe. The extent of the renewal is very great, such as the resurrection of the dead for judgment and receiving eternal bodies. The kingdom of God affirms God's new world, affirms the saved nature, affirms the regenerated creation; it is victory, freedom, life, and joy.
- The current body is as different from the resurrected body as a seed is from a plant, so we can hardly imagine the condition after resurrection. It is also difficult to imagine the situation after heaven fully descends. We only know that it is a "change", related to the current body and existence, but the magnitude of the change is indescribable.
